Unprecedented Rally: PUMP Surprises Cryptocurrency Market with Over $1 Billion 24-Hour Volume

The cryptocurrency market witnessed a shocking development as the PUMP token, issued by PumpDotPump – a Solana (SOL)-based meme coin issuance platform, experienced a meteoric rise. In a single day, PUMP soared by 26%, hitting a record high and registering a trading volume exceeding $1 billion.

This unexpected surge has left the cryptocurrency community in awe, and traders are now closely observing the token’s performance. The comeback of PUMP, especially after weeks of doubts and criticisms, is a testament to the volatile and unpredictable nature of the cryptocurrency market. The token’s price saw a nearly 25% jump, reaching an all-time high of $0.008456 with a daily trading volume of over $1 billion, which was a record-breaking milestone.

Mid-July painted a different picture for PUMP. The cryptocurrency had crashed, leading many to believe it was the end of its journey. However, in a spectacular turn of events, the crypto price rose nearly 25% within 24 hours. This rally took the token to a new all-time high (ATH) at $0.008456, before a controlled pullback to $0.007803.

More strikingly, its trading volume jumped 132%, surpassing the $1.16 billion mark within a single day. Such a drastic movement reflects the strong market conviction as it seems that the buyers have taken full control. Momentum indicators, such as the Aroon Up at its highest, signal a robust and lasting trend. This context suggests that the buying pressure could remain.

However, some analysts warn that such rallies can quickly fade. A correction is not to be excluded, especially in the case of massive profit-taking. The support at $0.007131 could then become a crucial level for investors.

Pump.fun has had a bumpy journey so far. Its ICO raised $500 million in just 12 minutes, setting the tone for its success. In two months, PUMP’s market cap crossed $3 billion. However, the platform tarnished its reputation due to misbehaviors in its live-streaming sessions. These excesses resulted in a temporary suspension.

In early 2025, Pump.fun relaunched its streaming with stricter rules. The co-founder Alon Cohen confidently claimed that Pump.fun has already surpassed its competitors in concurrent streams. The platform also promises instant revenues for its creators, sometimes up to 100 times higher than traditional platforms.

However, the founder of Odin.fun, Bob Bodily, warns about the pitfall of this model. According to him, creator rewards based on volume encourage pump and dumps. So while the model attracts with its promises, it remains fragile. The question of whether PUMP is a lasting revolution or a speculative bubble ready to burst remains.

Only five weeks ago, Pump.fun traders were weathering a storm with a revenue drop of over 80%. Today, the platform enjoys a spectacular comeback. The question remains whether this thunderous return is built on solid foundations or a passing speculative wave.
