Fortnite Sprite Spree Week Schedule: All Start Times

If your Sprite Collection still has a few glaring gaps, you’re not alone. Galaxy, Holofoil, Cube, and Gem variants are some of the rarest Sprites in Fortnite, and with Chapter 7 Season 3 ending August 19, the pressure to finish your set has been building. That’s exactly why Epic Games is running Fortnite Sprite Spree Week, a five-day event from August 15 to August 19 that boosts spawn rates for a different rare Sprite variant each day. Here’s the full Sprite Spree Week schedule and what you need to know before diving in.

The Full Fortnite Sprite Spree Week Schedule

The event kicks off with Mythic Sprite Hours on Saturday, August 15. Unlike the rest of the week, Mythic Hours aren’t a single 24-hour window. Epic is splitting them into two separate two-hour sessions featuring the Zero Point and Grim Sprites. So if you’re hunting those, you’ll want to plan around both windows rather than one long grind.

After that, the event shifts into a daily rotation. Each day from August 16 through August 19 focuses on one Sprite variant for a full 24 hours, starting at 6 AM PT / 9 AM ET / 2 PM BST / 3 PM CEST. That means the featured Sprite changes at the exact same moment every day. Here’s the day-by-day breakdown:

  • Mythic Hours: August 15, two 2-hour sessions (Zero Point and Grim Sprites)
  • Galaxy Hours: August 16, 24 hours starting at 6 AM PT
  • Holo Hours: August 17, 24 hours starting at 6 AM PT
  • Cube Hours: August 18, 24 hours starting at 6 AM PT
  • Gem Hours: August 19, 24 hours ending August 20 at 6 AM PT

Worth noting: if you’re in regions like Japan or Australia, the daily rollover will land on the following calendar day. A “August 16” start at 6 AM PT is already August 17 in Tokyo. So keep that in mind when setting reminders.

Why This Event Is Different From Normal Sprite Hunting

Sprite Spree Week isn’t just about slightly better odds. Epic has made several temporary changes that completely shift how you should approach collecting. For starters, Sprites will no longer cost Sprite Dust to resummon. That’s huge if you’ve been patiently hoarding dust, since rerolling Sprites usually burns through it fast. Here’s the thing: during the event, you can resummon freely and keep cycling until the variant you need shows up.

Campfires also grant boosted XP throughout the week. If you’re close to finishing a battle pass level or just want to maximize the time you’re already spending on the island, this is a nice bonus. Sprites themselves level up twice as fast, and players can earn Lucky Locators, which appear to point you toward rare Sprite spawns. Taken together, it’s a much more efficient collection loop than the standard grind.

How to Plan Your Week Around Each Sprite Hour

Before you jump in, open your Sprite Collection and write down exactly which variants you’re missing. It sounds obvious, but with five days of rotating spawn rates, you don’t want to waste a Galaxy Hour chasing a Sprite you already have. Make a short checklist and focus only on the gaps.

For Mythic Hours on August 15, treat it like a double-header. Since both windows are only two hours long, you’ll need to log in during both sessions if you want Zero Point and Grim Sprites. Epic hasn’t published individual start times for those two windows beyond the August 15 date, so your best bet is to check in once during your daytime play window and again about 12 hours later. Annoying? Maybe. But these are some of the rarest Sprites in the game, so the short windows are worth planning around.

For the daily Hours, set an alarm for 6 AM PT if you’re able to play early. That’s when the featured variant changes, and logging in right at the rollover gives you a full 24 hours to hunt. If you can’t play that early, don’t panic. You still have the whole day. Just make sure you don’t wait until 5 AM PT the next morning, because once the clock hits 6, the spawn rates shift to the next variant.

One more piece of advice: don’t spend Sprite Dust on resummons this week. Since resummoning is free during the event, there’s zero reason to dip into your stash. Save it for after Sprite Spree Week ends, when normal costs come back. You’ll thank yourself later.

What Happens to Your Sprites in Chapter 7 Season 4?

Here’s the good news if you’re worried about running out of time: your Sprite Collection won’t reset when Chapter 7 Season 3 ends on August 19. Epic has confirmed that collected Sprites carry over to Chapter 7 Season 4, which launches August 20 under the name Fortnite Override. There’s also a new Sprite Garden feature coming, so your existing collection will likely have continued use.

That said, this event is still your best shot at filling the rare gaps. Once Sprite Spree Week ends, those boosted spawn rates disappear, and you’re back to regular odds for Galaxy, Holofoil, Cube, and Gem Sprites. So if you’re missing a Cube Sprite, August 18 is the day to grind. Miss it, and you might be waiting weeks for another window this good.

Interestingly, Epic seems to be using Sprite Spree Week as a soft send-off for Season 3’s collection loop before Override changes how Sprite Gardens work. The event is less of a final deadline and more of a generous catch-up period. But generous doesn’t mean effortless. Show up for the right hours, skip the variants you already own, and you should walk into Season 4 with a much fuller collection.
