‘Cobra Kai’ Stars Tanner Buchanan and Mary Mouser Announce Engagement

In a recent turn of events that has the fans of ‘Cobra Kai’ buzzing with excitement, stars Tanner Buchanan and Mary Mouser have announced their engagement. This news comes after the pair made their debut as a couple at the Season Six, Part Three premiere of the popular Netflix show on February 12th.

Their appearance at the Los Angeles event was anything but ordinary, as it served as a platform for their engagement announcement. The couple raised a storm of applause when they flashed their left hands, proudly flaunting their matching rings to the world.

Following their announcement, Netflix confirmed their engagement on February 13th, the same day the final episodes of the much-loved ‘Karate Kid’ spinoff were released on the streaming platform. Adding to the excitement, Buchanan and Mouser decided to publicly comment on their relationship status for the first time through a joint Instagram post on February 13th. They expressed their happiness and gratitude, stating, “We’re so happy to finally share that we’re engaged. This is such a special moment in our lives, the closing of one chapter and celebrating the continuation of another. We’re so grateful for the love and support, and though we’re partial to having our private moments, we’re excited to share this check-in to our world.”

Before this, the couple had been spotted together multiple times, including at a Taylor Swift concert in 2023. However, they had remained quiet about the relationship rumors until the premiere of “Cobra Kai”.

In the show, Mouser portrays Sam, a young karate star, and the daughter of Ralph Macchio’s character, Daniel LaRusso. On the other hand, Buchanan, known for his roles in “He’s All That” and “Designated Survivor,” plays Robby, the son of Daniel’s longtime rival, Johnny Lawrence, played by William Zabka.

The duo’s on-screen characters shared a romantic relationship in the show’s early seasons. However, as the series progressed, Sam rekindles her romance with her first love, Miguel (Xolo Maridueña), while Robby finds love with Tory (Peyton List).

Interestingly, Buchanan and Mouser are not the only “Cobra Kai” cast members sharing a real-life romance. Jacob Bertrand, who portrays Hawk on the show, has been dating Peyton List since at least 2022.
